Dataset

The dataset contains the supplementary data to a paper entitled: 'Design of an experimental setup to measure friction with a comparison for UD C/PAEK tapes in melt', which is published on Zenodo. The dataset includes the measured ply-ply friction data on UD C/PEEK (Toray TC1200) and UD C/LM-PAEK (Toray TC1225) in melt performed with a newly developed friction tester, as presented in the aforementioned paper, together with the friction data measured with an earlier developed friction tester. Experimental data for a range of different sliding rates was obtained to compare the measured friction response from the newly developed friction tester with the original setup, as presented in the aforementioned paper. The scripts used to analyze the data are included as well. Data on the validation of the temperature distribution of the new friction tester are also included.
