Dataset

This dataset encompasses raw data and statistical inferences from a comprehensive study focused on understanding the growth dynamics, biofilm formation capabilities, synergistic antimicrobial susceptibilities, and time-kill kinetics of various strains of Acinetobacter species. The objective of this research was to elucidate the pathogenic characteristics and to evaluate the in vitro efficacy of antibiotic combinations in demonstrating synergy. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the data was collected through laboratory-based experimental procedures, including growth curve assays to monitor bacterial proliferation, biofilm formation assays to assess the capacity to form biofilms, checkerboard assays for determining the synergy between different antimicrobials, and time-kill kinetics experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of antibiotics over time. The dataset contains quantitative measurements facilitating a comprehensive analysis of the pathogenic behaviour of Acinetobacter species and their interactions with antimicrobial agents.
