Corydalis yanhusuo is a perennial herb with 30 cm high of Papaveraceae and widely distributed in hilly grasslands. It is also a famous and commonly used traditional medicine in East Asia and contains more than 20 kinds of alkaloids, which have a positive impact in the central nervous system, digestive system, cardiovascular system and pituitary a-drenal cortical systems.C. yanhusuo is an effective painkiller and Modern medicine found that its active components have good efficacy in treating diseases of antitumor, anti-anxiety and so on .Although there are various methods to identify the physiological functions of roots of C. yanhusuo, few attention has been paid to the efficacy of leaves. For this reason, we added a new complete chloroplast (cp) genome of the species, which provided scientific basis for further exploring the medical prospect of C. yanhusuo.

Figure1. A Bayesian phylogeny tree was constructed by the cp genome sequences of 19 species from Papaveraceae, Ranunculaceae and Lardizabalaceae. The posterior probability value (1.0) is labeled for each node.
