#DATABASE CONTENT

This database contains this readme file, a codebook and data of psychophysical experiments (.txt,.nmpy).

#ACTUATION SPEED DATA

The data in this database is the raw psychophysical experiment data collected from participants during research into the effect of actuation speed of pressure stimuli by a soft textile actuator. The associated paper (Weda, J. , van Erp, J. B. F. , & Mader, A. H. (2023). The Effect of Actuation Speed on the Perception Threshold of a Squeezing Soft Actuator. IEEE transactions on haptics, 16(4), 574-579.) can be found here: 'https://doi.org/10.1109/TOH.2023.3273774'. The data was collected and logged with Psychopy 3.

##.txt

The files are named: PARTICIPANTNUMBER-MONTH-DAY-TIME.txt

The text files contain all the trials, conditions and related participant answers. The columns are separeated by commas. The first line of the file contains the following: Participant: #PARTICIPANTNUMBER , Arm: 0 = left, 1 = right (NA for these experiments), Circumreference: #ARMCIRCUMFERENCEINCM, ContractionSpeed: #STEPDELAYINMILLIS and length: #RIBBONLENGTHASINTHESETUP (NA for this experiment), Prior: #PRIORDATAUSED, Upper or Lower Arm

##.nmpy

The files are named: PARTICIPANTNUMBER-MONTH-DAY-TIME.nmpy

The nmpy files can be used as priors for new sessions.

#CODEBOOK

The codebook is an excel file describing the meaning of the columns in the .txt files.
