***General Introduction***
This dataset contains outputs of analysis generated for the research publication titled: A rainfall threshold-based approach to early warnings in urban data-scarce regions: A case study of pluvial flooding in Alexandria, Egypt
doi:https://doi.org/10.1111/jfr3.12702
This publication is part of Adele Young's PhD project: Uncertainty Aware Pluvial Flood Forecasting and Decision Support in urban data scarce areas
It is being made public as part of the PhD thesis of Adele Young and in order for other researchers to use this data in their own work.
The data in this data set was generated as out some simulations using the output of Global Forecasting System (GFS) used in a Weather Research Forecasting model (WRF)

***Purpose of the simulations ***
The purpose of these experiments was to investigate if global scale ensemble forecasts could be used for triggering flood warnings and actions as detailed in the publication and thesis
The data that support the findings of this study are openly available in ECMWF public data TIGGE Data Retrieval at http://apps.ecmwf.int/datasets/data/tigge/levtype=sfc/type=pf/, reference number 26
The data that support the findings of this study are openly available in Tutiempo at https://en.tutiempo.net/climate/ws-623180.html, reference number 58

All data was accessed by using MARS request

***Test equipment***
All analysis were done using the WRF model configured on the SURF HPC: Snellius.

***Description of the data in this data set***
