***General Introduction***
The files presented here are associated with the paper entitled Using mobile air cleaners in school classrooms for aerosol removal: which, where, and how. It contains the supplymentary information which helps explaining the methods, as well as data that suppots the findings of the study.
The study investigated the proper strategies of using mobile air cleaners in school classrooms for removing respiratory aerosols, where different types of mobile air cleaners were selected and assessed through both physical measurements and panel perception evaluation, regading both the air cleaning efficiency and occupants' comfort. All tests were conducted in the SenseLab at Delft University of Technology, between May and August 2023.
This study is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (grant number: 1325610).

***Description of the file(s) in this dataset***
This dataset has 1 file: Mobile air cleaners_Supplementary materials _EDing.PDF

In the file there are five appendices for the associated publication:
Appendix A: Supplementary information on the selection of mobile air cleaners. Including the illustrations of the air cleaning technologies used by the mobile air cleaners on the market, the airflow pattern induced by the mobile air cleaners, and the selection process of the tested mobile air cleaners.
Appendix B: Forms for the perception test. Including the sample questionnaires of the general information about the subjects and perception of sound and air movement of the mobile air cleaners.
Appendix C: Supplementary information on the results of the particle decay test in the lab experiment. Including the results of the total decay coefficient and natural devay coefficient of PM2.5 and PM10, as well as temperature and relative humidity at different sampling locations.
Appendix D: Supplementary information on the results of the perception of air movement caused by the mobile air cleaners. Including the results of the body parts sensed air movemenmt reported by the subjects.
Appendix E: Supplementary information on the results of the particle decay test in the real classroom. Including the results of the total decay coefficient and natural devay coefficient of PM2.5 and PM10, as well as temperature and relative humidity at different sampling locations.
