***Description of the content***
The data provided in these files have been generated/collected during the study on the effect of anode potential regime and feeding mode on electron storage in electro-active biofilms (EABfs).These data are made public to share the raw data with other researchers and to serve as supplementary information.
All the experiments were performed at Wetsus, European Center of Excellence for Sustainable Water Technology.
This work was supported by the “Resource Recovery” theme of Wetsus and the Dutch Research Council (NWO) [project “Understanding and controlling electron flows in electro-active biofilms” with project number 17516 that is part of the research programme Vidi].

***Description of the data in this data set***
Data have been merged in one excel file that contains all the raw data gathered for each of the tested conditions. All the experiments are organized in their respective duplicates.

In each column of the excel file, IVIUM data and measured parameters to characterize the biofilm growth and acetate consumption are included. The parameters in the excel file are listed and described below:

Parameter: Time (d) -> time of the ivium scan (in days);
Parameter: Current density (A) -> Calculated current density (in Amperes)
Parameter: Cumulative charge (C) -> calculated cumulative charge (in Coulombs);
Parameter: Anolyte concentration (mM) -> Acetate concentration in the anolyte;
Parameter: Biofilm thickness (C) -> Thickness of the biofilm measured with OCT;

The description of the methodolody, model and calculations can be found in the manuscript.

The image processing is included in the excel file named "ratios". Here, the pixel counts for each dye (Dead/Live, Dapi, Bodipy, and CFW) are given
