N2 - <p>The research deals with the policy evaluation of one of the bigger projects undertaken by Prime Minister Modi in India called Beti Bachao Beti Padao (Save the Girl Child). I investigate using data for 5 years and across all the districts in India whether the policy has met its objectives or not. I use the Civil Registry data for the sex ratios for all districts, for GDP I use each state's economic surveys released each year. For Marriage rates I use the National Health and Family Surveys. </p>
