Data underlying the publication: Simultaneous Recycling of Spent LiFePO4 and LiNixMnyCozO2 Li‑Ion Batteries Under Mild Leaching Conditions
The purpose of the experiments was to study the chemical composition of various spent Li-ion batteries from consumer e-waste. Then, different types of waste were submitted to hydrometallurgical leaching together, followed by a pH increase to precipitate the leached metals. Following the hydrometallurgical steps, the residues and precipitates were characterized by XRD-analysis.
The data is sorted in folders for each set of figures or each table. The data mainly consists of ICP-OES measurements, which are expressed as the concentration of metals in solution (ppm). These are used to calculate the composition of the feed materials (battery waste, wt.%), leaching efficiencies (%) and precipitation efficiencies (%). These are all in spreadsheet format (.ods). There are also some X-Ray diffraction studies done. These are found as PDF-documents, which contain the X-ray-diffractograms and the peak allocation. From the diffractograms, the present compounds can be identified.
