Human activities involving subsurface fluid injection projects, such as geothermal energy recovery and/or gas storage (CO2, H2 or methane), are widely acknowledged to occasionally cause earthquakes. We performed laboratory tests on highly permeable Red Felser sandstone containing a simulated geological fault to investigate effect of injection rate and pattern on fault movement. Triaxial injection-driven fault reactivation tests were performed alongside with passive acoustic measurements. This dataset contains mechanical data along with passive acoustic data from injection-driven fault reactivation experiments on faulted sandstone. Also python script used for analysis is provided. A detail information about the data is described within the readme file.
