The data concerns interviews with members of the research and design team who co-authored the paper 'Exploring Human-Technology Entanglements: Collaborative Design of Intimate Technologies'. This paper describes the design process of an intimate wearable technology developed through the DiscReTe project (Disconnections and Relationships mediated through Intimate Technologies), which explores how technology can support communication, boundary-setting, and interaction management for diverse communication needs.

The wearable was developed through an artistic-led participatory approach by an interdisciplinary research and design team including a computer scientist, design researcher, wearable integration designer, engineer, choreographer, and performer. The dataset consists of excerpts from interviews conducted with members of this research and design team, in order to support the description of the design journey and ways in which multidisciplinary perspectives played a role in the research.

The project has been approved by the ethical committee of the faculty Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science at University of Twente with number 240103.
