Dataset

Data for the results shown in the paper "Quantum Key Distribution in the Iberian Peninsula". This physics paper presents a quantum key distribution (QKD) satellite-based model where the key is distributed across different major cities on the Iberian Peninsula: Madrid and Lisbon, Madrid and Bilbao, and Madrid and Barcelona. We consider a downlink setup in which the encoded information is transmitted from the satellite to the ground stations. By optimizing the beam waist of the transmitter such that it decreases the effect of pointing jitter, we can get secret key rates able to perform currently use cases already implemented on fiber.

The dataset includes the simulation data used in the figures and tables of the manuscript.
