Supplementary Material for the article entitled : Efficiency of thermally activated eggshells for acid mine drainage treatment in cold climate. The article presents the results of a research on thermally activated eggshells for the acid mine drainage (AMD) treatment in cold climate. It was found that eggshells efficiency depended on calcination temperature and on the solid : liquid ratio employed for the AMD treatment. For instance, eggshells calcined at 9000C succeded to neutralize an AMD of pH 2 and to reduce heavy metals below the concentrations limits legally accepted.
