Dataset

This dataset contains the data underlying the paper A Generic Cyclist Model for aerodynamic investigation: Design, geometry & first

aerodynamic analysis of a male time-trial and sprint model. The data exists of two male generic cyclists models, one in time-trial and one in sprint position. For each model the following data is available:

  • STL file of the original cyclist geometry
  • STL files of the cyclist geometry in parts. These individual parts have been used for the wind tunnel model manufacturing. The wind tunnel models have been made in parts, so it can be disassembled for dressing the cyclist model in cycling apparel. Some of the individual parts have been modified to to install the mannequin on the bike. The hands of the sprint model, for example, contain an extrusion that fits around the handlebar.
  • DAT file of the scan of the physical wind tunnel model while installed on the bike.
  • DAT file of the measured velocity field around the model.
