This dataset accompanies the manuscript: "The existence and origin of multiple equilibria in sand-mud sediment beds".It contains tide-averaged suspended sand/mud concentrations and bed composition (mud content) of two numerical models: one is a case-specific model of the Dutch Wadden Sea and the other is a model of a generalised and schematised tidal inlet. In addition, we have also included model input files to run the model. This dataset also contains sediment composition data of the Wadden Sea measured in 2008-2018 within the SIBES (Synoptic Intertidal Benthic Survey) campaigns.
