Dataset

This is the data set accompanying the dissertation "Detection and Differentiation of Supercooled Large Droplet Icing Conditions" by Johannes Lucke. The dataset contains Icing wind tunnel data from the Braunschweig Icing Wind Tunnel, the Goodrich Icing Wind Tunnel, and from Rail Tec Arsenal. The data are evaluated to characterize airborne instrumentation like the Nevzorov probe and the BCPD. The dataset also contains airborne measurements of cloud probes from the HALO-AC3 and SENS4ICE flight campaigns. As for the wind tunnel measurements, the data of BCPD and Nevzorov probe are evaluated to gain new insights into the instrument behavior, especially with regard to the measurement of supercooled large droplets (SLD).
