Dataset

Discrete Event Simulation implemented in Java OpenJDK 19.0.1 for a mechanistic model of intracellular GLUT4 trafficking. The model associated with the simulation was used to assess possible mechanisms of GLUT4 sequestration and release in response to insulin. Specifically, this model implements a mechanism for the activity of fusion sites to be insulin-dependent. Simulation outputs were compared to experimental data and model parameters estimated to assess the quality of this mechanism as an explanation of observed dynamics. Source code is provided as well as executable .jar files.
