Mode II Delamination Test Results for Unidirectional and Multidirectional Carbon/Epoxy Composite Laminates Using End-Loaded Split
doi: 10.4121/72b67fbb-dd92-41b0-8d16-bf7679df01b0
This dataset collects the test results of Mode II delamination for unidirectional and multidirectional Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) composite laminates using the End-Loaded Split (ELS) test configuration. The experiments were performed under the guidance of the test standard ISO 15114 (2014). The composite laminates consist of 16 layers manufactured with unidirectional prepreg. In total, 6 types of specimens with different layups and initial delamination interfaces were tested. The force-displacement responses, delamination length and area measurements, and Acoustic Emission (AE) events are stored in the dataset. The calculated R-curve based on the J-integral method is also provided, as well as the energy dissipation per area increment for determining the total Energy Release Rate (ERR).
