Dataset

Data collected through semi-structured interviews regarding the use, rating and relevance of ESG finance in social housing provision. The interviewees are drawn from various types of companies such as social housing organisations, national and local federations from social housing organisations, rating agencies, public banks etc. The interviews were mostly conducted in English except for those carried out in France which were conducted in French. The data was collected and coded in 2022.

DATA - restricted access

Reason

While attention has been paid to record anonymisation, the sample is small and there is a risk of respondent identification. The very nature of the data, detailed specifications on financial instruments and their use is sensitive to many organisations.

End User Licence Agreement

1. License Grant

Licensor hereby grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable right to access and use the Data solely for internal business purposes or personal use, subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement. No ownership rights in the Data are transferred to you, and all such rights are reserved by Licensor.


2. Restrictions on Use

You agree to comply with the following restrictions when accessing or using the Data:

a. No Redistribution or Resale: You may not sublicense, distribute, sell, rent, lease, or otherwise transfer or provide access to the Data to any third party.

b. No Commercial Use: Unless explicitly authorized in writing by Licensor, the Data is licensed for non-commercial purposes only. Any commercial use or monetization of the Data is strictly prohibited.

c. No Modification or Derivative Works: You may not modify, alter, translate, or create derivative works based on the Data without prior written consent from Licensor.

d. No Reverse Engineering: You may not reverse engineer, disassemble, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive any trade secrets, algorithms, or underlying methodologies from the Data.

e. Prohibited Use Cases: You are prohibited from using the Data in any way that violates applicable laws, infringes the intellectual property rights of any party, or involves unethical or immoral purposes. This includes but is not limited to use in illegal activities, discrimination, fraud, or violation of privacy rights.


3. Data Integrity and Accuracy

The Data is provided "AS IS," and Licensor makes no warranties or representations regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the Data. Licensor is not responsible for any errors or omissions in the Data or for any losses, damages, or liabilities that may arise from your use of the Data.


4. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Data, including but not limited to copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, and proprietary information, are and shall remain the exclusive property of Licensor. Licensee acknowledges that the Data contains valuable proprietary information and agrees to protect it from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.


5. Termination

Licensor reserves the right to terminate this Agreement and revoke your access to the Data at any time, without prior notice, if you violate any terms of this Agreement or engage in prohibited activities. Upon termination, you must immediately cease all use of the Data and destroy any copies of the Data in your possession or control.


6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Licensor be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Data, including but not limited to loss of revenue, profits, or data, even if Licensor has been advised of the possibility of such damages.


7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Licensor, its affiliates, and its respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Data or any violation of this Agreement.
