This dataset is intended to support the findings of the publication "Aerodynamic characterisation of a thrust-scaled IEA 15 MW wind turbine model: Experimental insights using PIV data" by Fritz et al. (2024). The dataset contains the flow fields obtained using Particle Image Velocimetry during a wind tunnel experiment on a thrust-scaled model of the IEA 15 MW reference wind turbine. Furthermore, the blade-level aerodynamics, derived from the measured flow fields, are given. The dataset is completed by the planform describing the model blade geometry and the operating conditions logged during the experimental campaign. This research, and thus this dataset, aims to provide experimental data that can be used for the validation of numerical simulation models and/or serve as a baseline for future wind tunnel campaigns on this wind turbine model.
