OVERVIEW:

  • - This repository contains datasets for calculating the daily maximum Urban Heat Island (UHImax) effect across Dutch urban areas. The methodology is based on the diagnostic equation developed by Theeuwes et al. (2017) for northwestern European cities. The datasets focus on municipalities with population densities exceeding 1,000 people per kmĀ².

  • - To support reproducibility, we provide detailed documentation that enable researchers to generate UHImax datasets for time periods other than 2023 (refer to the README.md for detailed documentation).
